Who is the model?
A model is someone who displays art models, fashion or advertising with a certain mood and gesture. Physical characteristics of a model
Each country has its own standards for modeling and the size of mannequins, but as a general and global standard, the theory of the Association of Fashion Dealers (AMA) can be stated. According to the association, female mannequins should have a standard of about 86-61-86 cm (body height, waist circumference and thigh circumference, respectively); and their height should be at least 173 cm. Usually the height required for fashion shows is more than this size. In the latest European Fashion Show, the average height of the models was 179 cm, their average weight was 50 kg, their upper body was between 85 and 90 cm, their waist circumference was below 62 cm and their thigh circumference was below 90 cm.
The average size for male models is 180 to 188 cm in height and weight between 64 and 75 kg and the chest circumference is between 38 and 42 kg.
Recently, very thin fashion models have been criticized, and many of them have anorexia nervosa. The organizers of the Madrid Fashion Show in September 2016 banned very thin models from participating in fashion shows. In the last two years, several models have died from anorexia nervosa.
Physical Body models
These mannequins focus more on showing a healthy, athletic physique. These models are similar to bodybuilding athletes, but rely less on muscle size. They weigh almost the same size as fashion models, but they have a lower fat percentage and are usually muscular due to the increase in muscle mass compared to body fat volume.
